The Scooter Walks

Well the day has finally come - I'm going to start blogging. I told myself that I would start when there was something really big to share. Well today my 19 month old, Kate, finally took more that three steps at a time! So to celebrate and document the momentous occasion I am blogging. Now I've just got to take some pictures and figure out how to get them from my husband's computer to mine...we'll see about this.

What exciting news! Both blogging and more importantly, Kate walking! Now you have to figure out how to get a video of it on here!

That is funny - 19 months and finally walking! I am sure your mother has told you that when she was a baby she did something similar - learning to walk late! I don't remember because I was the baby, but my mother told the story:
She was expecting me, her third child in September. Linda had just turned one year in June. They were at a family gathering and picnic on the Snake River on July 4, 1950, when Linda walked from people to people, and mother and daddy were thrilled. With another baby coming, a bare 15 months apart, she looked forward to not carrying two children. They went home after the picnic, but Linda didn't take another step until several months after the baby came. I don't know if that was 19 months of age for your mom, but your daughter may have inherited that ability!
