Lily Friend Party

Lily wanted a friend party and I gave permission as long as she planned all of it.  I agreed to purchase supplies and make food.

And plan she did!  She decided on an Olympics theme.  Girls were randomly split into teams and then they had to make a flag for their team with an assigned animal, color, and adjective.  We had the boring giraffes, cheerful blue whales, and the sleepy grizzlies.

After that they performed several games including a cereal toss, a puzzle completion race, snowball throwing, the cup game, moving m&m's, and paper plate throwing.  

Lily had special candy for each medal and prizes for the overall winners.  They seemed to have a lot of fun.  They had pizza for dinner and mini cheesecakes for desserts and LOTs of Dr. Pepper.  

Lily had to have 6 -7 candles for the fun of 6 - 7 and because they add to 13!  The girls were going to watch a movie but ended up playing outdoor games instead before the moms showed up.

Brundage and Moscow

The girls and I drove up to Brundage Friday morning and had a great day on the slopes- good soft snow and good weather although pretty cold.  

Lily got to try out her new heated gloves and was even nice enough to share with me - I went home and bought my own pair.

When the chair lift stopped we drove up to Moscow to spend the rest of the weekend loving on Blake.

We enjoyed some Bean snuggles and smiles and even got to catch a bath and bedtime when we arrived.  We watched the Olympics with Sophia and Mack before heading to the hotel to get some sleep - it had been a long day.  

Saturday we enjoyed some time just hanging out with baby girl, watching Olympics and just catching up.  We ran into town for lunch and got to see some interesting moose infused art.  We left their place in the afternoon during nap time and we went to the frozen yogurt shop in Pullman that had alluded us over Thanksgiving break.  We enjoyed the ice cream and did a puzzle for fun.

We took everyone out for dinner and Blake slept soundly while we all enjoyed some yummy Italian food.  Sunday morning we packed up and stopped by for a few hours to say goodbye to the little cutie before we headed home.

It was a lovely way to spend the weekend - she is growing so fast!

Sweethearts Dance

I went out for my morning walk and found this.

After school Emily opened the egg and started planning her answer for Caden.

Thank you Raney for drawing the manatees and thanks to Mom and Lily for coloring.

Emily had a blast at the dance and during their date just hanging out, enjoying a McDonalds play place, nerf war and ping pong.

The boys mom's went all out to decorate the church and make the meal special.

 

Kate- Performance and Temple

Thursday I picked Lily up early from school and drove to Rexburg in time to grab Abby and head to Kate's dance performance.  She had to try out to perform in this group.  The whole performance was beautiful and it was fun to watch Kate dance again.

Although we almost didn't recognize her with her hair straightened.  Once she started dancing her hair made her easy to find.  It was so long and thick and she was the only blond in the group.

After the program we hung out at Dairy Queen then spent a bit of time with Kate's roommates before I have to call it a night at 11pm - Lily would have stayed all night.

The next morning we picked Kate up in time for her dance class.  Lily got to join the other class members as they choreographed their own dance.

Deseret Book was our next stop where we managed to get Kate all the garments and temple clothes she needed then we headed home.

We loved having her home for the long weekend and going to the temple with her and Grandma, Grandpa, and Val on Valentine's Day.  Lily waited in the waiting room so she could join us for lunch after.

A Brief Recap of Spain - seriously brief

Greg and I took a lovely trip to Portugal and Spain to celebrate out 25th anniversary and for Greg to try to see the Iberian Lynx one more time.

This will be a very short version - if you want all the details ask Greg he has a dozen or more pages written in his journal.  

We arrived in Portugal around 8 in the morning and got over to Sinta as quick at possible.  We ended up having to walk to the top of the hill earning our 23,790 steps and 85 floors, but it was worth it.  What an amazing monastery turned castle.

Natali's bakery and pastry recommendation was a winner- pastel de patas for the win. #Iloveeggcream.

We ended that day in Spain, caught church in Seville the next morning then explored the white cities.  Loved them all but Ronda was my favorite.  

Our 13 hours in the hide payed off.  This beauty let us watch her for about an hour.

Cordoba was cold and rainy but the mesquita was worth it.

We saw rain or snow everyday but managed to not get too wet or cold, even catching some sun and blue skies now and then.

Toledo was great and I loved the walled city of Avila.

Segovia was probobly one of my favorites with it aquaduct and castle.

Madrid felt crowded after enjoying the off season lack of crowds in all the other places we'd been.  The royal palace and Prado didn't disappoint.  We walked our feet off and saw so many amazing places but I was ready to get home to my girls.
