We love McCall

For President's Day we had a few days off from school so we spent it in McCall getting covered in snow and warming up by the fire.  Lily really took off with her skiing.  By the end of the trip she was doing Main Street like a pro.  All my years of teaching have paid off- we are done with Bear and Easy Street- hooray!!!

There was a cool ice sculpture at the top of the mountain.  Here Lily and Greg are taking a break from the snow inside the Bear Den.
I love this picture- I'm not so great with selfies but I actually got everyone in the picture on the top of Main Street.  This was a huge day!

Loving my chair mates.

Lily loves taking snow breaks (give the legs a break and eat a little snow). Check out Natali's ice covered hair.  The pieces that snuck out of her hat were totally iced over.

My Emmy out trail blazing in all the beautiful powder.

When we weren't skiing we were enjoying the massive snow piles and the blizzards by the condo.

This was an epic snowfall - we had such a blast playing while the snow poured down.  We were all soaked by the time we were worn out.

And we may have jumped from the balcony a few times.

One evening the kids started sledding and had so much fun I had to drag them in when it got too dark to be safe.

Andrew may have had to wear a blanket while his clothes dried- hehehe.  I love spending time in McCall with my kiddos.

Our Baby is 6

Lily turned 6 and had a few friends over for a tea party/birthday/play date.  They decorated their cupcakes to look like unicorns using the leftover fondant I'd made that morning for Lily's cake.

They brought her some presents and then spent most of their time opening and playing with her new LOL Doll.  They had such a blast.
While the girls played I put Lily's birthday cake together.  She picked out this fabulous unicorn design complete with homemade marshmallow fondant horn and ears, and three colors of cotton candy straight from Emmy's machine.  Lily really enjoyed picking out all the candy as well.

She got a flip switch rainbow shirt from her friend Libby and immediately put it on.  She even tried to wear it the next day too.  She enjoyed bringing brownies with cookie dough frosting to the kids in her class and having the Wilfords over after school to celebrate her big day.

She got a donut and a puppy squishy, some new paints, another LOL doll, and two well loved stuffies.  Her Minnie Mouse donut ears were on her head nearly all day as well - such a happy girl.

I love my little buddy.  She does almost everything with me.  I love watching her learn to read, listening to her sing her choir songs all over the house, and holding her hand as we run errands or walk around the neighborhood.  My baby is growing up but I am loving every moment.

Disneyland and California Cousins

For Lily's 6th birthday she got to on a trip to Disneyland with her dad.  Here she is at the airport waiting for their flight.
Finally in California waiting for the shuttle.  She was up really early that Friday morning and went straight to Disneyland from the airport.  She started yawning on the way there but once she got in the park she was wide awake.

Lily Said, "First ride was the Winnie the Pooh ride.  It was okay but it was sort of scary when he was dreaming.  That part I don't like.  It is sort of scary because it is dark and things glow in the dark."

"I was spinning on the tea cups super fast and I liked that."

"I got pink cotton candy."

"I liked going on Dumbo but when dad wanted to see how high we could go I didn't like it.  I got a pink one because I was lucky."

"Next we went on the Carousel.  I think I rode on a horse. Then we went on the Alice and Wonderland.  This was the little door in the movie that was alive and they were trying to open it but it was like "OUCH".  I liked the ride."

"We were looking in all the stores but we couldn't find any ears.  Then we looked in the store and we found ears but they weren't the ears we wanted so we looked in the same store but some more cause when we got there we saw some.  Then we found the donut ears.  I liked them because they were pink and donuts and had both of my favorite colors.  I used my Christmas money to buy them.  I love them."

"Then we got to watch the parade.  First we waited a while and then we saw people playing instruments.  And then we had to wait a while and then we saw people who were dressed up as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Chip and Dale.  And then we saw Ariel, and Lion King, and we saw the princesses.  I really loved the music."
"This is a little roller coaster in Toontown.  It was super fast.  It was too scary."
"I'm waiting in line for the Tea Cups again and I'm eating my cotton candy so my tongue is pink."

"That was in the Tiki Room.  We had to wake up one of the birds and then all the birds waked up each other.  I liked the Dole Whip and I got an umbrella with it."

"This is Minnie's House.  The dishwasher does stuff but it doesn't make noise anymore.  The oven there's a cake in it and when you twist the thingies then the cake will bake and when you turn a certain knob thingy the cake goes down cause it melted."

"This was in Minnie's yard."

"These pictures were taken on our way out of the park.  There was this person walking around carrying balloons and Daddy let me get a light up balloon.  You could make it light up and you can make it turn off so you could save the batteries.  That was really cool.  This other picture is of Disneyland decorated for Valentine's Day"

"It's a statue of Walt Disney by Mickey Mouse"
After Disneyland they went to Beth's house and the next morning "We went to the Children's Museum and we were looking for a picture that looked like us."
"That's the picture of the one I saw that looked like me"

"I didn't want to do the climbing thing at first but then I did it once and I liked it."

"We took pictures and we could print them.  We were having fun."
"Me and Piper made Marble City at her house.  There was a jail, houses, and a road."

"We went to the beach and we went on a walk thingy, like a hike.  It was cold and I think it was raining but I don't remember."
"Me and Gus were seeing who was taller.  Gus was taller."

"On Sunday after Sacrament Meeting we went to Daddy's friends house (Luis from Tuck) and there was a birthday cake for me."
"We played with Legos and ate cake."
"They sang Happy Birthday to me"

"I was having dinner at the airport at Panda Express.  Yummy Orange Chicken.  And here I was waiting for a bus thingy after we dropped off our car."

"The trip was fun.  The End"
