Sterling and Glasgow

We caught church outside of Sterling where I sported my Chacos with toe socks - my feet were still itchy and rashy so I couldn't wear my sandals without the protection of the socks.  It was quite a look.

From there were took in the immense Sterling Castle, learning more history and enjoying the views.
The interiors had been redone to look accurate to the time - the colors were so intense.
They also had tons of tapestry recreations.  This one look familiar so I snapped a photo.  When I showed it to Kate she showed me pic of the same tapestry in Hogwarts Castle at Universal Studios.  Laura also got home and found that Phoebe had post card of the tapestry, which is apparently in a museum in France.

We took in a little walk which unfortunately ended in an absolute down pour.  Soaking us all one last time before the trip ended.
After our drenching we drove to Glasgow for dinner and a quick walking tour of the city.  Our parking lot had pics of animals painted on them so Val posed for my daily highland cow pic to send to Kate.
Cool buildings in Glasgow.
The rain started up again on our way to dinner - so yet again we were soaked.  Definitely packing some wet stuff in my suitcase for the flight home.

Yummy tapas and a lovely last evening of conversation before we all said good bye and headed home.  We loved our time together in Scotland.
