End of Year

Well spring brought more soccer - Lily had a lot of fun with her cute team.  The won some and lost some but by the end of the season they were really working well together.

Greg had to wear a top hat to a dinner at a convention - thank you Zurchers for this $1.75 beauty that even managed to make it through security.
Natali came home in April bringing with her lots of late night talks, music, temple trips, lunch dates, laughter, and long conversations with Fritz...
Lily needs Ditten snuggles/torture all year round.
Speaking of torture this event may have sounded like it.  Lily didn't want to brush her hair and neither did I.  It was time to make the cut.  She gave me a tentative okay and I put the scissors to quick work.  It was done before she could reconsider, and then the wailing began..."I wasn't ready!" "I have no hair!"
I cut 10" inches off and she really does have quite a bit of hair left.
After a solid 20 minute break down she finally let me even out the cut and by the end of 2 hours she was talking about how light her head felt and how easy it was to brush - she survived.
We discovered this duck nest too late this year - Ditten?  Those babies didn't get to full development.
End of year projects - Emily created an ecosystem project with a Yellowstone complete with a dead Elk as food for the wolves.
Extravaganza day for Emily - She loved the petting zoo.  Especially the snakes😳
I went to help for field day - coloring is pretty fun but I don't think I will ever by this kind of crayons - so messy.  It was everywhere- hands, faces, the floor, the tables-everywhere.

Goodbye to another school year and hello summer!

Graduation

Hard to believe that this kid is graduating and going on a mission!
Andrew wanted a short hair picture on the back so we took this pic as he was running out the door to prom.

The Valedictorians were honored at an awards assembly. 26 Valedictorians!
Seminary graduation too!
The day of graduation luckily wasn't too blisteringly hot but the sun and time of day led to a ton of horrible pictures 😂.
Most of the pictures are pretty bad but it was a pretty fabulous day to get one more kid finished with High School - bitter sweet.
Had to say bye to our buddy Fernando - someday they will meet again in Spain this time to look for Lynx's together.

Andrew has had such a fabulous group of friends - wish this picture did them justice.  They made his high school experience really positive-so grateful for them.

Family Pictures

In spite of the mosquitos we managed one more group of family pictures.  I'm so grateful to have these pics of all of us together before Andrew leaves for his mission.

18!

Miraculously, through the efforts of Greg and other men who love Andrew, he got his mission papers turned in in record time.  He had to get his hair trimmed for this mission photo.
I left early the morning of May 9th to pick Mack up from Moscow.  While driving I got the word that Andrew had his call.  We were trying to figure out when we could open it and I still had to get Mack and drive the 5+ hours home.  Well I showed up to get Mack and he was ready.  We were loaded up and got in 30 minutes or less.  We called Andrew and plans were set to open the call 9:30 that night.
All the boys filled the house and Andrew learned that he was going to Nicaragua, and further shocked us with a July MTC date.  We were assuming August or September.  It will be hard to be ready with all the travel we have planned but we are thrilled he is leaving so soon.

Unfortunately Andrew separated his shoulder playing basketball this spring.  After it had started to heal he played ball again and separated it a second time 🤦🏻‍♀️.  Lets home he can take it easy and let it heal before the mission.
For Father's Day I had the idea to have all the Easton's donate platelets in honor of Papa.  So all of us that were able signed up.  Andrew was a trooper and completed his donation in spite of being pretty uncomfortable.
The girls dance production was on Andrew's bday so he went out with the boys and we put off his party until Sunday.  The Wilfords and Grandma and Grandpa Dame came over and we celebrated Mother's Day and Andrew's bday.  Can you tell that he had just re-injured his shoulder?

Happy Birthday amazing, persistent, loving, friendly, passionate, verbose, argumentative, energetic, smart, easy going boy!
