The party room with all 4 girls had to take a mirror selfie before hitting the road on our first morning out all together (well not exactly all - Mack and Sophia did their own thing most days and we only saw them at dinner each night).
After some elevator miscommunication we finally got on our way and listened to Kate's very strange dream about marrying 5 different guys, including one of the cartoon men from Wild Kratts while waiting for the bus.

From the bus to the metro...
then time to walk, walk walk, past lots of delicious looking pastries.
past Tivoli Gardens

Incredible to see the original that we have seen so many copies of in visitors centers all over the US.
The King's Garden Park and Rosenborg castle were beautiful and fun to explore in spite of the crowds of people out on a beautiful Saturday morning.
We split up for lunch with the girls enjoying acai bowls, overnight oats and smoothie bowls for lunch while Greg, Andrew and Emmy had something with meat and fries. We were all very happy with our choices.
And we needed those calories to take our climb up the tower steps at Our Savior's Church.

The stairs begin in the church and go though lots of attic type spaces full of baby angel heads - a little creepy- inspiring these creepy faces.

The stair case got narrower as you climbed eventually getting wide enough for just one person so we had to take turns getting to the tip top.

By suggestion of Andrew's foreign exchange student friend and Natali we walked through Freetown Christiania on our way to the Little Mermaid statue. A intentional anarchist commune set up as "independent" from the EU was created in 1971 and was famous for its illegal cannabis trade. We walked through the town expecting to smell a lot of weed but were pleasantly surprised. Natali said it was different when she was there a few years before. I found out later that Pusher Street, where cannabis was sold was actually shut down in 2024. The community still exists and the unique art work was photo worthy.

On our way to the Little Mermaid statue we started to stage the perfect photo op - Emily's nude top and Kate's purse made for the exact look of Disney's Little Mermaid, Ariel. Too bad Emmy was too embarrassed to get into full hair flip pose- still pretty brave with all those people around.
About this time everyone's feet were tired and the only solution was ice cream. So the search began...
many allies and "no parkering" signs later and we realized the ice cream shop on the map was an allusion.
So we headed back to the boat and Andrew stoped to at lease grab himself a local soda before we left Denmark.
It isn't the same as ice cream but at least the cruise buffet always has fries and desserts.
These are some of the only photos I have of the shows - some of the costumes were crazy and a bit much but it was always worth our 30 minutes. As Natali said, "Remember, we are here for the acrobats."
Our second trivia night started off great with some questions we actually knew the answers too. Then another woman from South Africa joined our group and helped us with a few questions we weren't sure of and shocker our 7/10 was the winning amount of the night. We tried to give our prize, a bottle of champaign, to our South African friend but she didn't drink either so the random guest next to us got the alcohol, but we were just riding high on the glory of winning.
